"The music industry is proud to present “Da Hood Candymann”. Born and raised in Miami, Florida on July 30th 1990 (Small Town They Call) Carol City. His nationality from both of his parent’s is “Puerto Rican”. Now to get on about his music career, He wasn’t always into music as he is today. But, he was definitely around it a lot in his middle / high school years.
To begin with, a lot of people wonder were did “Da Hood Candymann” artist name came from. Well, before he got exposed and into the game as he is today they used to call him “Young Trigga”. But, he finally grew out of that level & since he always sold candy in school. He switched his name to “Candy man” alone. So therefore his music career just started and to be specific the year was “2004”.
Secondly, he started to buy equipment from cheap corporation stores. For example, one was radio shack for his first microphone that he created “Candy Land Vol.1” with in his room using his closet as the booth. As far as, the program to mix & rough down the music & make it sound decent enough to pass out. He would go to http://www.download.com to download audacity (program to mix & record music). He started to work on volume 1 & finally started to pass it out 4 months later back in 2006.
Next, the reason why nobody never heard “CANDY LAND VOL.1” was because he had a very low fan base & wasn’t around the computer as much as he is today. So “Candy Mann” decided he is not going to give out his first mix tape to his fans, friends, or etc. He kept all the 500 copies to himself & only gave them to major D J’s, Producer’s, Artist, Label’s, & Etc. So several months have passed by & suddenly “Candy Mann” gets a call. The call was from U.B THE UNDERBOSS MEMBER OF THC CREW & HOST OF HTTP://WWW.305HIPHOP.COM, HTTP://WWW.RAPREPORT.COM, HTTP://WWW.GASFACEFILMS.COM, & Just to inform everybody The Boss Rick Ross had currently made him President of Maybach Music Latino (Congrats).
Next, When “Candy Mann” seen the call, he was so proud / happy. THE UNDERBOSS WAS INTERESTED IN GETTING HIM IN THE STUDIO TO DO SESSION’S, & GET HIM ON A LEVEL where people would recognize his name “Candy Mann”. But, before that could happen he had to change his name so therefore that’s where “Da Hood” came from & also because he thought to himself the hood will always be in his heart & it'll be very helpful when it come's down to anything (GOD FOR BIT). The reason why he had to change his name is because Sammy David Jr. who was born in Harlem, New York an African American Entertainer was known as “Candy man”. That’s why he changed his name to “Da Hood Candymann” with two ns, not just one. Once he made that change, before putting it out he made sure all rights were legal & explained properly to him.
Finally, that is why he call’s himself “Da Hood Candymann” not just Candy Man.
